First Blog Assignment

This is my first semester in the Teacher Education Program at Georgia Southern University. I am a Curriculum student, and I have been placed at Stilson Elementary School. I am working in Mrs. Langes classroom with third grade students. This semester we have to complete twenty hours of observation and complete a "read-aloud". The "read-aloud" is where I choose a book that is appropriate for third grade and read it aloud to the classroom. I am very excited about my upcoming semester!

    Hey Mandy! This is also my first semester into the teacher education program, loving it so far. I saw that you have third grade students this semester, I had them last semester for PPB and enjoyed them to the fullest. I learned so much that year.     Hey Mandy I love your picture as well! It was weird that I was placed at Screven Elementary two times in a row but no I did not request it. I definitely did not mind though because the school itself is great, as well as the faculty members. I hope to stick with the younger grades but have yet to experience fourth or fifth, so I am keeping an open mind about it! I absolutely loved my third graders and I am sure you are enjoying them as well. See you in class~!

    Hey Mandy! I hope you are enjoying your semester at Stilson Elementary! I am in a third grade class this semester as well. What kind of book did you choose for your read aloud? Are the third graders in your class studying the author Bill Peet? His books are great for that grade level and their so fun to read! Good luck with everything this semester!

    Hi Mandy! I see that you are placed in a 3rd grade classroom this year! I am also in a 3rd grade class at Nevils Elementary. They are so adorable, and really are very mature for their age. I have one little boy, whom has a cruch on me, its the cutest thing! I hope you enjoy your semester! See you in class:)

    I had a 2nd grade class Screven county for my curriculum class. I enjoyed it very much, but I was nervous when it came to the read aloud assignment. I read "Peeping Beauty" and it didn't go too bad. They thought the book was very funny. Good luck I hope all goes well...
